John McCain’s surprise running mate reeks of blatant pandering to dissatisfied Clinton supporters. While the “maverick” label of the Alaskan governor is supposed to foster McCain’s image as a reformer the hypocrisy is pretty hard to swallow. What hypocrisy? After a primary season (and now convention) of every major Republican leader dissing Obama for his lack of experience they now seem oblivious to Palin’s record.
Apparently being a mayor of a small town and serving less then two years of a Governorship provides all the experience necessary for running the country. I mean “She has been commander-in-chief of the Alaska Guard,” McCain said. Seriously!? You can say that and maintain a straight face? Straight talk express – my a$$!
